Emulsion concentrate for the control of bed bugs—but also the black garden ant (Lasius niger), house flies, the red poultry mite, body lice and fleas. This product was designed for professional use in sensitive indoor spaces (living and sleeping areas, hotel rooms etc.).
Effect
Bed bugs react differently to geraniol than to conventional contact insecticides (such as pyrethrum). Geraniol acts almost exclusively as a contact insecticide. To achieve optimal efficacy, the insect should also be completely enveloped in a film of geraniol. A nerve effect (NA/K pump, synapse blockade, etc.) does not occur, as the effect depends primarily on the wetting of the insect. Following this wetting, the displacement of water from the insect plays a major role. Geraniol penetrates either via the respiratory system and/or after dissolving or partially dissolving the exoskeleton. Causes of death are therefore: anoxia through aspiration, dehydration, and/or solvent effect on chitin and chitobiase or the protective wax layer.

Demand
Normally dilute to 4% with water (200 ml concentrate/5 l water). 20 - 50 ml ready-to-use preparation/m² depending on the surface. The preparation should not run off the treated surface.
